           BAMBOO BRUSHPOTS
           19th/20th century
           The flowering trees applied with agate,
           turquoise, coral, amethyst and further
           hardstones, set in carved cinnabar lacquer
           planters; the bamboo brushpots variously
           carved with pine and a boy riding a buffalo
           amongst pine and rockwork.
           The tallest hardstone tree 40cm (15.3/4in)
           (4).

                                                                              The cloisonné jardinière of lobed oval form,
                                                                              decorated with confronting dragons on a
                                                                              black ground reserved with gilt wire cloud
                                                                              scrolls; the pair of hardstone planters formed
                                                                              as flowering trees and rockwork comprising
                                                                              malachite, lapis, rose quartz, coral, agate and
                                                                              jade. The cloisonné jardinière 50cm (19.3/4in)
                                                                              long. (3).
