The majority of this collection was formed by the grandfather of the current
owner, who grew up in a wealthy family in China in the first half of the 20th
century. After 1949, he moved first to Taiwan, and later to Europe in the 1960s,
where he acquired many of the pieces. The collection has since been passed down
within the family to the current owner.
本玉器珍藏大多源自藏家之祖父。他在二十世紀初出身於望族，1949 年後
輾轉遷往臺灣，後又於 1960 年代前往歐洲，在當地收得不少藏品。其庋藏
後於家族中流傳至今。
