the curved ve-segment toprail extending beyond the front
corner posts and terminating in outscrolled handgrips above     Scott Emerson 1905  Winea Plantation
shaped spandrels, the sinuous S-form central splat anked by     1981
beaded and shaped anges and carved with a ruyi head-form
medallion enclosing archaistic confronting chilong, the hard-
mat seat supported underneath by two transverse stretchers,
set into the rectangular molded edge frame tapering with a
central groove and beaded edge, all above vigorously shaped
and beaded spandreled aprons carved on the front with
elegantly intertwining foliage, the legs of rounded section
joined by stepped stretchers above plain aprons
