painted with a dignitary and attendant standing on a open nely painted with a scholar and his attendant bearing a
pavilion before a large screen in a mountainous river wrapped qin in a mountainous landscape framed within double
landscape, the rim painted with eight boys, some holding line borders, the deep cavetto painted with a continuous
gongs and cymbals, in a continuous fenced garden, the landscape of further scholars, attendants and deer, all below
underside with eight panels alternately enclosing owering a ruyi-head border, the attened rim with gures amidst
branches and precious objects European-style building, the underside with two registers of
Diameter 12½ in., 29.3 cm four oval panels, enclosing birds on branches and boys, the
footring drilled for suspension
