‘DRAGON’ BOWL
JIAQING SEAL MARK AND PERIOD
the deep rounded sides rising from a straight foot to a ared
rim, incised and painted in aubergine enamel against a bright
green ground, the exterior with two ferocious dragons striding
amid radiating cloud wisps and ame scrolls in pursuit of
‘ aming pearls’, all below turbulent cresting waves, the interior
glazed white, the base with a six-character seal mark in
underglaze blue

QIANLONG SEAL MARK AND PERIOD
the lobed body rising from a splayed foot to a waisted neck
with a ared rim, covered overall with a green glaze, save for
the foot ring left unglazed, the base incised with a six-character
seal mark
