These six volumes, compiled by the Japanese scholar
Umehara Sueji (1893-1983), a professor at the
Department of Archaeology, Kyoto University, was
published as a companion to the 7-volume Bei Shucho
Shina Koda Seika, which was published in 1933 and
illustrates Chinese archaic bronzes in European and
American collections, o ered as lot 65 in this sale.
