19th century
Couched in gold-wrapped threads with nine five-clawed dragons,
amongst variously coloured ruyi-clouds, bats and Daoist emblems,
above crashing waves and rockwork and lishui stripes, the kesi
horseshoe cuffs and hems with striding dragons, bats and clouds
above waves on midnight blue grounds, with Missionary Loan
exhibition label.
