each of rectangular form, the fronts nely incised
with gilt inlay and the backs deeply carved,
the rst with an incised scene of scholars and
travelers in a mountainous landscape with shing
boats in the distance and an accompanying
poetic inscription, a carved vignette of two boys
herding water bu alo on the opposite side, the
second with an incised image of a scholar and
attendant traversing a mountain path toward
a far-o pavilion and pagoda also with a poetic
inscription, the verso with two men leading
horses to a feed trough, apocryphal Qianlong
seals carved on each, wood stands (4)

each of attened baluster form, relief carved
overall with birds and owers, the squared sides
with two pairs of lion-mask handles suspending
loose rings, one cover surmounted by a dragon
and the other by a phoenix, the mottled stone
of gray-green with streaks of apple green, with
carved apocryphal Qianlong marks (4)
