carved with a pair of bats ying above a peach
bough, the stone of an even, white tone, mounted
at the collar and base in silver, the foliate cast
base stamped Yamanaka and sterling, with a
crescent moon and L for Lebkuecher, New Jersey
silversmiths, stopper and striker (2)
Height overall 3⅛ in., 8 cm

Acquired in Boston 1940s-60s, and thence by
descent.
