There are vistas and views you might not see or encounter any other way but staring
out a Greyhound Bus Window. There are movies written, stories told, emotions shared
and people who meet on a Greyhound Buses while traveling and having more than enough
time to get settled and or bore of self entertainment, open dialogues with people they
would never have come to meet otherwise.
Regardless of actual reasons why a bus is taken or a person is riding it, there is soon
developed an Americana Experience that cannot be really be defined or rejected but
simply exists as an American Institution for Great American Adventures.
The Long Distance Grey Hound Bus Lines Trip.
This was not my first trip on Greyhound Long Distance but I had to admit
that my previous one traveling home from Baton Rouge had taken more out
of me than I cared to admit as I had several times very cramped and uncomfortable
conditions in getting home in 2016 from the Mississippi River Trip. Excitement and
anticipation carries you about 8 hours on a bus trip but after a few choice stops the walls
come tumbling down and the “traveler” mind set begins to take over.
Trains, Planes and Automobiles do not reach the level of emotion a bus trip can
exhibit and if you do travel with conversation them sometimes a long distance effort
can be rewarded with golden memories or at least short term ones of someone you met
on or in a bus or bus station and the experiences you shared in common as a bridge to
open up and discover another human being riding a Greyhound Bus.
