                 ABSTRACT

PURPOSE: To assess a change in visual-related quality of life in glaucoma patients after switching from
preservative-containing medical therapy to PF unit dose (UD) DTFC.

METHODS: Prospective, non-interventional, multicenter 8-week study with 80 medically treated
glaucoma patients completed the study. Patients were switched from preservative-containing
                 IOP-lowering treatment to preservative-free DTFC.
Primary otucomes was a change in visual symptoms at week 8 and 4, assessed by GSS-SYMP and
change in GSS-FUNC at week 8 and 4.

STUDY CRITERIA: The GSS (Glaucoma Symptom Scale) which evaluates the ocular complaints from
the symptomatic point of view and from the functional point of view with 10 items as for instance :
watering, blurred vision and halos around lights.
The score is expressed on a scale ranging from 0 to 100, lower scores showing higher symptom se-
                 verity.

RESULTS: GSS-SYMP score improved at week 4 and 8, improved by 10 points at week 8, with a statis-
tical significance but no clinical relevance.
The improvement was also significant for GSS total score at both endpoints.
