GRUPPO WASTE ITALIA
A history that began two centuries ago
Schiapparelli S.p.A is among the first companies to be listed on the stock exchange. During the years the company changes its core business from the pharmaceutical to the nutritional and the cosmetics industries.
2008
Pietro Colucci acquires Schiapparelli S.p.A., through Allea S.p.A, launching the transformation of the company business towards the renewables and renaming the firm as Kinexia Spa.
2011
The Holding Sostenya was founded, an integrated group that combines capabilities in renewable energies and environmental sectors, of which both Waste Italia and Kinexia are a part.
2012
The new strategy focused on the opening to the environmental sector and the internationalization.
2013
The subsidiary Innovatec is founded in the sector of energy e ciency, listed on AIM market of Borsa Italiana, and Kinexia Re- newable Energy LLC, headquartered in the UA.
2014
A new aggregation is created from the merger between Kinexia and Sostenya, namely Gruppo Kinexia. Among the subsidiaries, the Group also includes the environmental sector with Waste Italia acting as lead company. Opening of London o ce as strategic point for international relations.
2015
Kinexia becomes Gruppo Waste Italia resulting from the restructuring of the corporate structure which fosters a more e cient division of the two business areas (environment and energies). Therefore, Gruppo Waste Italia now concentrates all the activities related to the special waste management sector. The renewable energy sector was assigned to Innovatec, which was already acti- ve in the energy e ciency industry.
2016
On January 1, the existing subsidiary Geotea SpA (leader of waste management in Liguria) merges with Waste Italia SpA.
