Bite plate with reverse inclined plane
• The upper anterior incline plane favors the forward movement of
mandibular teeth from distal occlusion into neutral occlusion
• The reverse incline engage lower incisors and cause the mandible to
slide anteriorly.
• The appliance is useful in growing children with a mild superior
protrusion, deep bite and mandibular retrusion.
• It is also used as a retention appliance after active functional therapy
like twin block
