CAPE GRACE HOTEL

Cape Grace, an international award winning, five-star, luxury hotel is

situated on the Waterfront in Cape Town.

Tony Romer-Lee and Euan McGlashan oversaw the development and

launch of this property in 1996 and were responsible for creating the

operating culture and renowned service that has made the hotel a

favorite amongst luxury tourists and world leaders, such as former U.S.

President Bill Clinton.

Euan McGlashan also spearheaded the property’s acclaimed food and

beverage operations which included Bascule Whiskey and Wine Bar,

which offers over 400 whiskies from around the world.

Under Tony Romer-Lee and Euan McGlashan’s leadership, Cape

Grace received numerous accolades highlighted by being recognized

by Condé Nast Traveler Magazine as ‘Best Hotel in the World’ in 2000,

achieving the highest score rating in the 15 years of the poll being

conducted. Cape Grace was also one of the most profitable hotels in

the Southern Hemisphere.
