                 SRU Subject Query

                        1.  Dublin Core Query: http://lx2.10c.gov:210/LCDB?ope
                           ration=searchRetrieve&version=1.1&query=dc.subject
                           =%22columbus%200hio%22&recordSchema=marcxml&
                           startRecord=1&maximumRecords=5
                        2.  Bath Query: http://lx2.10c.gov:210/LCDB?operation=
                           searchRetrieve&version=1.1&query=bath.subject=%22
                           columbus%200hio%22&recordSchema=marcxml&startR
                           ecord=1&maximumRecords=5
                 In both cases, the subject request would return the record shown in figure
                 9.6. One might also notice that the record in figure 9.6 is in MARCXML.
                 This is defined through the use of the recordSchema argument in the query
                 URL. Like the context sets, the supported record schemas are also defined in
                 the EXPLAIN request. In the case of the Library of Congress’s SRU server,
                 the following recordSchemas are supported: marcxml, dc, and mods.
                                                                                                                     215
