Charity Fund Highlights
CIADA Charity Fund Reaches Out to
Sarah’s Home
On November 16, 2019 over 400 people gathered to raise money to help others across Colorado. On Monday, February 17, a check for
$39,000 was presented by Charity President Dean Gunter to Sarah’s Home, the Fund A Need at the sixth annual Charity Gala. Sarah’s
Home exists to provide a sanctuary for teenage girls rescued from sex trafficking as they reclaim the life they were created to live. Sarah’s
Home is very thankful to the independent dealers, sponsors and friends of the industry for the wonderful and generous gift.
Dealers Can Once Again Sell Gap
Insurance to Military Servicemembers
The Department of Defense (DoD) announced Friday, February 28, 2020, it is
rescinding the controversial interpretation of the Military Lending Act Rule
that prevented the sale of GAP products to the military. Please notify your Gap
providers and start selling GAP immediately. NIADA and your CIADA lobbying
team, with annual fall visits to Washington DC, have been working to remedy this
problem since the DoD ruling came out in 2017. It took a while, but it's great that
now individuals covered by the Military Lending Act can protect
themselves from financial loss through GAP coverage in case of an accident
resulting in the vehicle being declared a total loss. n
