Dear Sisters of the Congregation of The Daughters of Mary Immaculate of Hue
And Dear Members of the Association with the Family of The Daughters of Mary Immaculate,
In the year of 2020, our Congregation of The Daughters of Mary Immaculate of Hue will be
happy to celebrate the Holy Year in Thanksgiving to God for its Centennial of Foundation.
This is a time of grace, a precious opportunity that God has reserved for us all in our vocation’s
itinerary as Daughters of Mary Immaculate.
Throughout this stage close to a 100 years of forming and of development, the Congregation
has gone through numerous ups and downs, strengths and weaknesses of human condition
as well as through several storms of wars in troubled times caused by our national history.
But thanks to God and to the intercession of our Mother Mary Immaculate, our Congregation
has grown firm and developed richer and steadier with time and experience.
100 years in God’s love and Mary Mother’s care !
100 years of graces thanks to our Founder, our Formator and Predecessors.

How to reckon, how to express our deep gratitude and appreciation ...
90 locations for service God has initiated, inviting the Congregation to come and stay to
serve the needy although 34 had to close due to troubles caused by our nation’s history.
From the sacred land of the Archdiocese of Hue,

God nowadays has sent us out to 12 different dioceses, within and abroad.
From 6 young and simple girls in the beginning, entering the Congregation on 7/9/1920,
God has brought in 578 sisters consecrating their lives to God in the Congregation from which
113 sisters went to the Father’s Home. God has called 34 novices and postulants and more
than 100 young girls to the Congregation with great desire to stay and serve God in the
Consecrated life.
Yes, God has looked with favor on His handmaid’s lowliness.
Dear precious members of the Association with the Family of the Daughters of Mary
Immaculate, God’s grace of this Holy Year extends its favor to each and everyone of us in
our current living situation and responsibility. The round number 1,200 is the actual total of
our Association Members present in 7 different dioceses. While we celebrate the Centennial
of our Congregation’s foundation with prayer and Thanksgiving, let us not forget that this
is also the Anniversary of the 15th Birthday of our Ascociation. We certainly wish that this
opportunity finds us renewed with sincere desire to live better our charism as Ascociates with
the Family of the Daughters of Mary Immaculate: to live our lives as engaged catholics of the
Church, and good citizens of our society as well as devoted father and mother of the family.
And our dear Ex-Daughters of Mary Immaculate who had once shared with us the religious
and community life, as well as the charism of educators of the young as Daughters of Mary
