What made you decide to become a The Ribbons
Network host?
After starting my own business during lockdown I attended my first Networking event with The Ribbons Network and quickly learnt how powerful and important Business Networking is for all small business owners. I therefore decided to become a The Ribbons Network host in Dorset
in order for me to connect with local business owners and help them grow their businesses, whilst also growing my own.
What do you love about being a The Ribbons Network host?
The connections and friendships I have made since becoming a host are unlike any I have experience in the corporate world. I am surrounded by people who genuinely care about my success AND my well-being, which is something I did not expect when becoming a host.
What opportunities has it brought to your core business / do you
see it bringing to your core business?
Since becoming a host I have built long lasting relationships with all The Ribbons Network members, which has in turn seen a growth in referrals due to them having trust in me. It has also led to collaborations with members, encouraging business growth for all parties involved.
How have you found the support from me with starting The
Ribbons Network locally?
Being new to the world of Business Networking meant that starting The Ribbons Network locally was a very daunting opportunity, but one I knew I needed to be a part of. Jade has been a fundamental part of my journey and without her help The Ribbons Network Dorset wouldn’t have got off to the great start that it has. She has given me a lot of her time to ensure that I feel confident and comfortable hosting meetings, and put together an incredible training manual meaning that I have a permanent resource to refer to every time I have a question or need advice. If the answer isn’t in the manual I know that Jade is on the end of a phone, and her knowledge is invaluable. Thank you, Jade!
