IV. Las cuatro plagas.

Legend has it that in time immemorial
the evil deity Huari, in his attempt to

subdue the Uru people, sent them four
plagues: a gigantic snake threatened

them from the south; a huge toad
came from the north; hungry ants

came from the east and a monstrous
lizard approached from the west.

When the attack was imminent, a Ñusta
suddenly appeared in the sky to help

the Urus. The female image, according
to legend, defeated the monsters with

her sword.

Cuenta la leyenda que en tiempos inmemoriales la maligna deidad Huari, en su intento por someter
al pueblo uru, les envió cuatro plagas: una gigantesca serpiente amenazaba desde el sur; un sapo
enorme llegaba desde el norte; hormigas hambrientas venían desde el este y un monstruoso
lagarto se aproximaba desde el oeste.
Cuando el ataque era inminente, repentinamente apareció en el cielo una Ñusta en ayuda de los
urus. La imagen femenina, cuenta la leyenda, derrotó con su espada a los monstruos.
