who ensures the solution expands across the national LNG market.
is solution was rst adopted by Zhoushan LNG Storage and Distribution Centre during the rst phase prior to a full rollout.
In this case, VeChain or Blockchain is applied in combination with IoT devices to facilitate supply-chain management. Upon arrival, the gas will be injected into di erent tanks, from there each tank of gas is assigned a tank number, associating with the relevant data stored on the blockchain, such as clari cation value, sources, and the like. When trucked out to retailers, logistics information and the LNG quality reports will be uploaded to the blockchain as well. rough this process, the data of LNG from carrier to
local distributors can be cross-validated and veri ed on the blockchain.

TGES awarded FEED work in Taiwan
Tokyo Gas Engineering Solutions (TGES) has been awarded by CPC Corporation (CPC)
of Republic of China (Taiwan) “ROC” to conduct the front end engineering design (FEED) for an expansion project of its LNG receiving terminal at Yung An, ROC. TGES will carry out the FEED in 2019.
Natural gas demand in Taiwan is expected to grow rapidly in coming years as promotes natural-gas red power plants due to environmental concerns. Such movements have supported this CPC’s expansion of its largest LNG receiving terminal in ROC. e Yung-An LNG receiving terminal has been in operation since 1990 and has been expanded twice in the past.
e relationship between TGES and CPC started in 1979 when Tokyo Gas Engineering Co., a company merged to become TGES
in 2015, supported CPC for its rst plan to introduce LNG to ROC. Since then, TGES has been providing di erent types of engineering services to CPC, including technical consultancy for CPC’s in-ground tanks in Yung An LNG receiving terminal during the past 40 years.
e award of this Yung-An expansion project underscores the high engineering capabilities that TGES has built in di erent LNG projects in and outside of Japan as well as the sound relationship with CPC. TGES’s track records are various and
widely spread globally as for providing engineering, consultancies and constructing LNG terminals in ailand, South Korea, Philippine, ROC, Indonesia, UAE, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, China Vietnam.

Tangguh Train 3 delayed
BP’s CEO, Bob Dudley, has acknowledged problems in Indonesia, with the Tangguh Train 3 project. “We’ve got 23 major projects with 35 under our belt now to get to 2021 and Tangguh Train 3 is one of those that we see as with a delay. It’s been delayed in our planning now from the fourth quarter of 2020 to the third quarter of ‘21. It’s not going to impact delivery of the targeted 900,000 barrels a day of new production from projects. Train 3 will add about a gross capacity of 3.8 million tons of LNG per year. It will take Tangguh up to 11.4 million tons a year.
“ e status of the project right now is the o shore scope is nearing completion ahead
of planned. Onshore has been impacted by
a number of things, including some very unpredictable environmental factors in the area, the 2018 tsunami events in Sulawesi disrupted some of the local supply chains and now, that’s got to require additional work, not our site, but the supply chains. I think it’s well- known that one of the contractors is having some nancial di culties. We remain on track for bringing that on by the end of 2021.”
