The new measures would extend the packages introduced in March, April and May 2020 and support the recovery momentum in the most affected sectors. The size of the package is small compared to the previous measures in 2Q20, which provided RUB1.9trillion in support, supporting nearly a third of people employed by SMEs, according to the Ministry of Economic Development and our estimates. The proposed measures could be instrumental in supporting the most affected businesses and helping the economy to recover.
