The Belarusian state-owned heavy truck manufacturer BelAZ saw exports jump by 58.9% year-on-year in January-May , the company told the government news agency BELTA .
BelAZ, which is subordinated to the Belarusian Industry Ministry, doesn't publish its official production and financial results, so it is impossible to verify the numbers provided to the news agency.
The growth of sales to Russia went up by 46.4% y/y and to the CIS countries (excluding Russia) by 3.3-fold. The leading consumers of Belarusian quarry equipment among the CIS countries are Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Ukraine.
In May, the company sold 116 vehicles, which is BelAZ's monthly record high achievement over the part 3.5 years.
In January-May among the bestsellers were haul trucks with a carrying capacity of 110-130 tonnes (40% of the total shipments), those with a carrying capacity of 220-240 tonnes (18%) and 45 tonnes (11%).
