Kazakhstan begins working on cryptocurrency regulations
Mail.ru put in a strong second quarter of 2017 top line growth that was 7% above consensus and the 2017 financial year revenue growth revision from 17-21% to 23-26%, which reflects the combi- nation of VAT exemptions on its Russian business.
Russian internet major Mail.ru received formal confirmation from the federal tax authorities that starting from January 1, 2017, a significant part of Russian internet value-added services (IVAS) revenues will be eligible for exemption from value added tax, the company said on June 28.
Kazakhstan has started working on a regulatory apparatus for cryptocurrency controls, LS news agency reported on August 16.
Kazakhstan's Astana International Financial Center (AIFC), in col- laboration with Deloitte, Waves, Ukrainian law firm Justcutum and Kesarev Consulting hope to create a "highly progressive regulatory framework" for blockchain and cryptocurrency companies, Bitcoin. com reported earlier in July.
Head of Justcutum, Artem Afyan, said virtual currencies are “new, dynamic, and extremely difficult for classical law”, and described Kazakhstan’s intention to regulate them “as a perfect opportunity to create a new jurisdiction, which would be most favourable for crypto projects in the world”.
Pristina-based PR Solutions launched Kosovo’s first online tourism and accommodation platform on August 15.
The project is intended to support the development of the tourism sector in Kosovo, where it is currently difficult to find online information about accommodation and tourist facilities.
The reservesimi.com platform is supported by the Programme for Private Sector Promotion (PPSE) launched by Swisscontact, a Switzerland-based foundation for international development cooperation.
