2.2.4 Industrial production
Industrial production was pointing down in the Baltics at the end of
2022 and will likely remain downward in the first half of 2023.
In Estonia, industrial production was also edging down in the last two
quarters of 2022 and the trend will remain through the first half of 2023.
Industrial production in Estonia declined by 5.8% year-on-year in
October 2022, after a revised 7.8% drop in the prior month, amid falls in
the manufacture of wood (-15.4%), fabricated metal products (-1.3%),
electrical equipment (-0.5%), and food products (-0.8%).
