IndianOil, Ghana’s NPA signs LPG MoU
In a step that will further strengthen the relations between India and Ghana, IndianOil has signed a MoU with the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) of Ghana
for providing its assistance and technical expertise in the implementation of Ghana’s National LPG Promotion Policy. With India’s emergence as a world leader in provision of clean energy to its citizens by the expansion of its LPG network, Ghana sought assistance from India in its own efforts to promote to safe, clean and environmentally friendly LPG for increased domestic, commercial and industrial usage.
The purpose of this Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is to strengthen cooperation between the Parties in the field of petroleum in particular LPG by which IndianOil would support the NPA on
the successful implementation of the re- circulation model (CRM) of LPG.
In this regard, IndianOil, the country’s flagship oil marketing company would
on behalf of India provide support to the National Petroleum Authority of Ghana
in several areas such as development of Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) Standards, development of Licensing, permit and legal framework, development
of economics for LPG bottling plant,
pricing structure, and communication strategy. IndianOil will also assist in areas of infrastructure development for the new LPG Value chain, support for upgrading capacities of institutions along with policy development and review. The MoU also provides for administrative assistance to IndianOil in
case it decides to participate as a commercial participant in Ghana’s downstream petroleum sector.

RIL awards 3D survey to Shearwater GeoServices
Shearwater GeoServices has been awarded a 3D broadband marine seismic acquisition contract by Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) in the Bay of Bengal, India. The project is scheduled to commence in Q2 2020.
The survey covers 1,500 sq. km of block KG-UDWHP-2018/1 in the Krishna- Godavari basin and will be executed by the Polar Duchess using a Dual source design.

Pertamina Lubricants to
enter Bangladesh retail
market
As a strategy to accelerate the growth of lubricant sales in the global market, PT Pertamina Lubricants, a subsidiary of PT Pertamina (Persero) officially cooperates with Petro Products Company, a subsidiary of Intraco Group of Companies as a distributor to sell and market lubricant products and specialties in Bangladesh.
This collaboration was unveiled at the Gala Launch Ceremony at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka Wednesday (1/22), which was attended by Nasrul Hamid MP The Honorable State Minister of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Division of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Rina P. Soemarno Ambassador Great Republic of Indonesia for Bangladesh, Andria Nusa PT Pertamina Lubricants Sales & Marketing Director, Mia Khrisna Anggraini VP Overseas PT Pertamina Lubricants, Russina Alamsyah Asia Pacific Area Manager PT Pertamina Lubricants and Zeeshan Saif CMO Petro Products Company.
The inauguration was a continuation and follow-up to the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Intraco Ltd. Bangladesh conducted in Jakarta in July 2019.
“This collaboration is a good start to establish close relations between Indonesia and Bangladesh, especially in optimizing the lubricant market in the country. At present, we also see how the industrial sector is developing rapidly there, especially the manufacturing sector, the electricity sector, and other general sectors. JAPEX launches study into sustainable aviation fuel
Revo International JGC Japan Corporation, and Japan Petroleum Exploration (JAPEX”) begin study to build a value chain in Japan for next-generation aviation fuel SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel) that utilizes used cooking oil as feedstock in January 2020.
