Turkey’s position in light of the recent escalation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border is a reflection of its destructive and destabilising policies, which observers have witnessed and continued to witness in the eastern Mediterranean, North Africa and the Middle East, Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan said in an interview with the Herankar programme on Shant TV, Public Radio of Armenia reported on July 31.
He spoke as Azerbaijan and its close ally Turkey went ahead with joint military exercises in the former.
A deal between Greece and Egypt designating an exclusive economic zone in the eastern Mediterranean impinges on part of Turkey’s continental shelf, the Turkish foreign ministry c laimed on August 7.
The Kosovo Security Force (KSF) has received a donation worth nearly $743,000 from Turkey including technical equipment, military uniforms and field beds, the Kosovan defense ministry announced on August 7.

Plans to pull Turkey out of the Istanbul Convention, an international accord designed to protect women against violence, created controversy in the AKP.
Opponents of the accord say it is part of the problem because it undermines traditional values which protect society. “It is our religion which determines our fundamental values, our view of the family,” the Turkish Youth Foundation, , whose advisory board includes the president’s son Bilal Erdogan, was quoted as saying by Reuters.
The Women and Democracy Association (KADEM), of which Erdogan’s daughter Sumeyye is deputy chairwoman, rejects that argument. “We can no longer talk about ‘family’...in a relationship where one side is oppressed and subject to violence,” KADEM told the news agency.
