Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia – are considering creating a digital currency in 2020  or 2021, the Russian deputy finance minister Alexei Moiseev stated last week. Such a move is “inevitable,” the TASS news agency quoted Moiseev as saying, because of increasing difficulties in trade and exchange calculations and due to Western sanctions which affect “a growing number of organizations.”
Belarus has launched Belarus' first regulated full-featured trade platform for tokenized exchange assets . Larnabel Ventures, controlled by Said Gutseriev, the son of Russia's oligarch Mikhail Gutseriev, and VP Capital, controlled by Viktor Prokopenya, who has dual Belarusian-Cypriot citizenship, have launched Currency.com and received the first Hi-Tech Park license to offer professional cryptocurrency market services. The license was issued in line with the Digital Economy Development Ordinance.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is ready to finance projects of IKEA suppliers in Belarus  taking into account the company's plans to place new manufacturing facilities in the country, BelTA learned from the head of the EBRD representative office in Belarus Alexander Pivovarsky. According to Alexander Pivovarsky, all kinds of suppliers are under consideration but primarily furniture industry.
