     Only 6% of Turks believe the official inflation data, a survey by polling company MetroPoll showed in June.
Turkey's EPDK energy regulator hiked consumer electricity prices by 15% as of July 1.
Also as of July 1, the government-run power producer EUAS’ wholesale prices by 40.48%.
Annual electricity price hike for consumers reached 30% y/y.
Electricity prices for general lighting were also hiked by 27.27% while prices for industrial producers were also hiked by 16.88%.
Turkey’s government-run pipeline operator Botas hiked residential natural gas prices by 12% as of July 1.
In the first six months of 2021, Botas hiked residential natural gas prices by 1% each month.
Botas also hiked natural gas prices for power plants by 20.23% as of July 1. Turkey has recently relied on natural gas plants after hydro plants are affected by drought.
As of June 1, natural gas prices for power plants were hiked by 1% after a 12% hike as of May 1.
Also as of July 1, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices at fuel stations were hiked by around 9%.
4.86mn vehicles, or 36% of 13.4mn registered vehicles in Turkey, use LPG.
