the transaction is $165mn.  e agreement is subject to ordinary closing conditions, regulatory approvals and other adjustments and is expected to close in the third quarter of 2019.
“Along with our recently announced agreement to exit China, this transaction shows our commitment to realize value from non-core assets. Proceeds from this sale will be directed to our balance sheet,” said Doug Suttles, Encana president and CEO.
Encana’s Arkoma assets include approximately 140,000 net acres of leasehold and current production of approximately 77mn cubic feet equivalent per day (98% natural gas).
CIBC Gri s & Small provided advisory services to Encana for the transaction. Davis, Graham & Stubbs served as Encana’s external legal counsel.

EQT announces certified
results of 2019 annual
meeting of shareholders
EQT today announced that, following certi cation of the voting results at the company’s annual meeting by the independent inspector of elections, shareholders have elected all seven Rice Team-nominated directors as well as the  ve nominees supported by both EQT and the Rice Team. All 12 elected directors received more than 80% of the votes cast at the annual meeting. EQT’s Board is now comprised of Lydia Beebe, Dr. Philip Behrman, Lee Canaan, Janet Carrig, Dr. Kathryn Jackson, John McCartney, James McManus II, Anita Powers, Daniel Rice IV, Toby Rice, Stephen  orington, and Hallie Vanderhider.
 e new EQT board has met and unanimously approved the following board actions.  e board elected John McCartney chairman of the board and reconstituted its committees.  e Board also appointed Toby Z. Rice president and chief executive o cer. Mr. Rice succeeds Robert McNally, who has le  the company. In addition, William E. Jordan has been named executive vice president and general counsel. Mr. Jordan succeeds Jonathan Lushko, who has le  the company.
