Cheniere Energy is attempting to expedite
the return to service of one of two storage tanks that have been o ine for almost two years at its Sabine Pass LNG export terminal in Louisiana. e move comes ahead of an anticipated uptick in global LNG demand this winter as more gas is required for heating in the Northern Hemisphere.
Cheniere said in a December 03 letter
to US regulators that returning one tank to service rst would allow it to use the tank in the short term while it continues to work on meeting the requirements for resuming service on the second tank.
e company has been using its three other storage tanks at Sabine Pass during the outage, but is now seeking additional capacity and exibility.

GTT has signed a technical assistance and license agreement (TALA) with the Chinese shipyard Wison O shore & Marine (WOM) for the equipment of oating lique ed natural gas units (FLNG), oating storage and regasi cation units (FSRU), oating storage regasi cation power units (FSRP) and LNG carriers, using GTT membrane solutions.
WOM is a pioneer in oating LNG in China, being the rst in the world to deliver barge-based FLNG and FSRU on a turn-key basis.
WOM obtained its GTT licence a er having successfully completed a quali cation process that began earlier this year, including the construction of Mark III technology Mock-up.
is agreement will enable both partners to further expand their o er to ship-owners, to target new markets, especially focusing on oating based solutions, and to advance the development of LNG in the global supply chain.
Philippe Berterottière, chairman and CEO of GTT declared: “We are pleased to count Wison among our new-building partners. We are very interested in developing and building together new LNG infrastructures which can provide innovative natural gas value chain solutions.”

agreement for Singapore’s
first LNG bunker vessel
Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (“K”Line) and FueLNG have concluded a ship management agreement for the 7,500 bcm LNG bunkering vessel (LBV) that FueLNG will own, operate and carry out all commercial operations.
e partnership will combine “K”Line’s extensive ship management and LNG transportation experience with FueLNG’s LNG bunkering expertise, which includes more than 160 truck-to-ship LNG bunkering operations conducted to-date. is will provide a reliable, expedient and seamless bunkering process for FueLNG’s customers.
e LBV is expected to commence LNG- bunkering service in Singapore, one of world’s largest bunkering ports, in 2H2020 a er delivery from Keppel O shore & Marine’s shipyard where it is being built. is will be the rst LNG Bunker Vessel providing ship- to-ship bunkering in Singapore.
