Repositioning
North American pipeline operator Enbridge has said it will gradually shift its
asset mix towards natural gas and renewables.
Bouncing back
Production is resuming this week in the US Gulf of Mexico after Tropical
Storm Cristobal passed through the region, briefly disrupting operations.
SPR purchase
The US Department of Energy has bought 126,000 barrels of crude for the
Strategic Petroleum Reserve, having said it would buy up to 1mn barrels.
Potential bankruptcy
Chesapeake Energy is reportedly preparing a potential bankruptcy
protection filing as it runs out of options for staying afloat.
