Ayse Ilicak, mother of Erman Ilicak, owner of Ronesans Holding—which has built its wealth on the back of large-scale public tenders, including for the construction of the Ankara presidential palace and city hospitals across Turkey—has transferred hundreds of thousands of dollars to the British Virgin Islands.
There are many other Turks who were named in previous leaks like that which produced the Pandora Papers. These tax haven leaks have so far proven their worth in the field of entertainment. They produce next to nothing in terms of penalties or change.
