                 Turkey’s steel production expanded 6% y/y to 37mn tones in 2020.
Steelmaker Erdemir’s production was down 1% y/y to 17mn tones in 2020.
Turkey’s cement production increased by nearly 4% y/y in 2020 to 59.2mn tonnes. Local cement sales inched up 0.4% to 46mn tonnes while exports leapt 21.3% to 15.5mn tonnes.
Refiner Tupras’ production was down 17% y/y to 23mn tonnes in 2020.
Star Refinery’s production amounts to 10mn tonnes in 2020.
Sisecam (SISE) produced 4.9mn tonnes of glass last year, down from 5.1mn tones in 2019. Soda ash production fell to 2.2mn tonnes from 2.4bn tonnes in 2019 while raw industrials production rose to 4.1mn tonnes in 2020 from 3.9mn.
