Seeking to hire more Ukrainian truck drivers, the Lithuanian Association of Road Carriers, seeks to abolish the quotas for non-EU drivers. A government proposal to raise the quota by one third, to about 15,500 is insufficient, Zenonas Buyvydas, general director of the Association, tells Logist.Today.
Deutsche Bahn is advertising in Ukrainian for overhead electricians. Last summer, the German railroad was advertising in Ukraine for: locomotive trainees, track fitters, electricians of signaling devices, drivers of construction machines, installers of steel and reinforced concrete structures, communication installers, and cable operators of fiber-optic communication lines. The state railroad promises to help with visas.

  4.5.2 Nominal wages dynamics
    Real wages in Ukraine rose 8.0% y/y in November, accelerating from 4.0% y/y growth in October, the State Statistics Service reported on December 28. The average monthly nominal wage amounted to UAH14,282 ($540), increasing from UAH14,045 in October, or 0.9% m/m in real terms.
The leaders for average monthly wages were the city of Kyiv (UAH21,144), and Ukrainian-controlled Donetsk (UAH14,809) and Kyiv (UAH14,754) regions. The largest average nominal wage increase was in hospitality and catering services (39.4% y/y), agriculture (30.6% y/y), as well as information and
