The new online platform NAZOVNI to support Ukrainian exports. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs presented a new online platform, NAZOVNI, for consulting business diplomats and accompanying Ukrainian exporters. According to Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dmytro Kuleba, NAZOVNI is an open online platform that will offer advice to every business and personal manager. Essentially an embassy employee in the respective country. In addition to this, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will accompany the Ukrainian exporter at every stage, from the submission of documents to the conclusion of contracts to supply products. The Foreign Ministry has already helped more than 200 Ukrainian companies start exporting or working abroad in 2021.
The volume of trade between Ukraine and Poland has exceeded $10bn.
According to the results of 2021, the volume of trade between the two neighbours will reach a record of $10bn, announced the Head of the Economic Affairs Department of the Ukrainian Embassy in Poland, Ihor Baranetsky. “In 2021, Poland has firmly established itself as Ukraine's second-largest trading partner and export market, after China. Poland also is in the TOP-5 importers of Ukrainian agricultural products. The share of agricultural products in total now approaches $2bn”, said Baranetksy. The volume of Polish investments in Ukraine exceeded $1bn for the first time this year, reported ukrinform.
With Poland-Ukraine trade on track to top $11 billion this year, Poland is emerging as Ukraine’s second largest trading partner, after China, Ihor Baranetsky, economic attaché at Ukraine’s embassy in Warsaw, tells Ukrinform. As Poland becomes one of the top five buyers of Ukrainian food, Ukraine is expected to enjoy a positive trade balance with Poland, the first in at least two decades. As a result of a long border and about 1 million Ukrainians working in Poland, the number of Polish companies founded by Ukrainians is expected to hit 23,000 this year -- about one quarter of all companies with foreign capital in Poland.
Ukraine’s trade growth with Japan is pacing its trade growth with China, according to figures supplied by Taras Kacha, Ukraine’s Trade Representative. Through September, bilateral trade was up by 36% yoy, to $1.1 billion. The main driver is Ukraine’s exports – largely food - which more than doubled, he said. By comparison, Ukraine’s food exports through September were also up by 36%, to $3 billion.
The volume of IT services exported from Ukraine has set a record. The NBU reported on the state of Ukraine's balance of payments. The indicators of exports of computer services for the period January to September 2021 brought $4.87 bln. The relative growth compared to the same period in 2020 reached 38.35%, reported minfin. The share of this indicator in the volume of exports of Ukrainian services increased from 24.00% a year earlier to 40.66% this year.
Imports of sparkling wines to Ukraine increased by 44%. In 2021, imports of sparkling wines to Ukraine in monetary terms amounted to $54.7 M, which is 44% more than the same period last year and 2.6 times more than 5 years ago, reported the Ukrainian Club of Agrarian Business (UCAB).
