According to the government, properly structured PPP projects can help Ukraine’s road sector attract investments worth around $9 bln and upgrade 422 km of roads. In addition, the EBRD and IFC will help Ukravtodor mobilize financing and expertise to prepare comprehensive projects that will support the maintenance and expansion of the road capacity while ensuring improved services and road safety.

    Kyiv has surpassed Moscow as a more expensive city to live in, according to the Economist Intelligence Unit annual ranking of the cost of living in 132 cities. Partly due to strengthening of the hryvnia during the first 10 months of this year, Kyiv jumped 13 points to 88th place, making Moscow cheaper, in 96th place. This year, the most expensive cities are: Tel Aviv, Paris, Singapore, Zurich, Hong Kong and New York.
Ukraine has issued more than 1,200 building permits in three months by December. The State Inspectorate for Architecture and Urban Planning of Ukraine has issued more than 1,200 building permits in the three months since its launch, reported ukrinform. Currently, 99% of customer requests are processed by inspectors within 24 hours, and decisions on the commissioning of the facility are made within three days. The Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Chernyshov noted that the inspectorate had processed almost 14,000 notifications, 1,800 applications for construction permits, and about 10,000 declarations and certificates for commissioning since its launch.
The average price per square meter in new buildings is increased by 25.7% in Kyiv. During the period January-November 2021, the price increased by 21% to 43,200 UAH per square meter. In USD the price increased by 25.7% to $1,588, said the founder of proptech-company M4U, Volodymyr Danylenko. At the beginning of the year, an average of 56% of apartments were sold in buildings under active construction and sales. At the beginning of November, sales reached a record level of 68%. For comparison, at the beginning of 2019, this figure was at the level of 40-45%.
In US dollar terms, the average price per square meter of new apartments in Kyiv increased by 26% this year over last year,Volodomyr Danylenko, the founder of M4U, a real estate tech company, tells Interfax-Ukraine. The creation of 24 new industrial parks has begun. Since adopting the Law “On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine” On Industrial Parks, the country has already started developing 24 new industrial parks. According to Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Economic Development, Dmytro Natalukha, the total declared investments in new projects of individual entrepreneurs amount to UAH 884mn ($32.7mn), the total area of parks is 557 hectares.
