     Rozetka is preparing for an IPO. The initial public offering of shares would allow the online marketplace Rozetka to expand its operations, announced the co-founder, Vladislav Chechotkin. Chechotkin added, “Rozetka's ambition is to occupy 10% of Ukraine's retail turnover, which now amounts to about $6-8 bln, and fulfill it for a long time”. At the same time, Chechotkin pointed to the trend of "digitalization of everything and everything," predicting an increase in the share of online commerce to 25%, which should realize into a market share of 50-60% within 3-5 years.
Vodafone Ukraine plans to invest UAH 500mn in expanding its services. "Until now, we were focused only on mobile communications in the field of telecom services. The company will now become a converged operator, which will also provide home Internet and TV services” said the CEO of Vodafone Ukraine, Olha Ustynova. “Vodafone plans to invest about UAH 500mn ($18mn) to bring our fixed-line business to the proper level and expand the infrastructure using GPON technology, which provides the most active users with stable high-speed gigabit Internet. Vodafone Ukraine plans to reach a subscriber base of 1 million customers in the fixed segment in the next two to three years”, concluded Ustynova.
Ukrainian startup Carsifi raised $1mn in orders before it was officially launched. The startup which was created by Ukrainian Igor Martsekhoy, has collected orders for $1.1mn in a few months on two crowdfunding platforms. Carsifi is an adapter that helps connect your phone to your regular car stereo without cables. Carsifi doesn't care if the car has Wi-Fi because the adapter itself has a built-in module for transmitting the information. In total, Carsifi raised $652,400 in orders, including $175,000 on the US crowdfunding platform Indiegogo.
Within five years, Kyivstar, Ukraine’s largest cell operator, expects to phase out 3G service in favor of faster services -- 4G and 5G, Oleksandr Komarov told reporters Tuesday. To deliver faster and faster speeds, Kyivstar is laying 1,000 km of fiber optic cable every year, he said, reports Interfax-Ukraine.
Ukrposhta will build a sorting center in Kharkiv. The company has signed an agreement with Oleksandr Yaroslavskyi's DCH group of companies to build a new automated sorting center at the Ecopolis HTZ high-tech park in Kharkiv, announced CEO of Ukrposhta, Ihor Smelyansky. The project cost is $42mn, and the center will be able to process 21,000 parcels and 15,000 letters per hour. Smilyansky said the new sorting center was named Kharkiv Innovative Sorting Station (KISS).
Ukrainian MedTech startup DrugCard has raised €255,000 from Think Bigger Capital and Farmak. DrugCard is a platform for automatic monitoring of medical literature. The product helps pharmaceutical companies reduce costs, optimize routine processes, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in pharmacovigilance. During the two years, the pharmaceutical company Farmak met more than 80 startups in the field of medical technology and related fields and invested more than $ 500,000, reported ain.ua
