China has launched its first spot pricing index for LNG imports amid an
ongoing power crisis that has driven a surge in demand for the fuel.
Long-term deal
Qatar Petroleum has signed a 15-year agreement to supply 3.5mn tonnes per
year of LNG to a subsidiary of China National Offshore Oil Corp.
