Netflix and Amazon Prime Video have obtained licences in Turkey by complying with new online broadcasting rules.
Turkey’s electronics retail market grew nearly 28.6% to reach TRY52.3bn in the first eight months of 2020, and Teknosa’s share in the market was 29%, the company noted.

The Czech energy group Energo-Pro has obtained a permit to put into operation two new hydropower plants, Karakurt and Alpaslan 2, in eastern Turkey. This is the largest Czech investment in the hydropower industry since November 1989; the total investment exceeds $800mn.
“We managed to meet all the conditions for obtaining a guaranteed dollar tariff which will apply for the first ten years of the power plant operation,” said executive director of the Energo-Pro Group Pavel Vana.
Aksa Enerji’s installed capacity was 1.946MW as of end-June, unchanged from a year ago, while its sales volume had grown by 50% y/y to 10,680 GWh, according to a presentation on its website. Its net sales also showed a 50% rise in the first half of the year, moving up to Turkish lira (TRY) 3.5bn ($350mn).
