Turkey reportedly expects gas suppliers to offer more competitive pricing and flexibility if they want to renew long-term contracts totalling 16bn cubic metres (bcm) per year.
Turkey's liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) imports increased by 27.5% to 358,186 tonnes in July compared to the same month of 2019, the country's energy watchdog said.
Combined passenger car and light commercial vehicle (LCV) sales in Turkey increased 134.4% on an annual basis to some 62,000 units in August (87,400 in July), the country’s Auto Distributors’ Association (ODD) reported.
The latest tax hikes are expected to hit sales in the remainder of the year.
