In 2025, Batson Enterprises proudly celebrates 25 years as a family-owned company rooted in tradition, innovation, and
a deep love for fishing. Located in the scenic Pacific Northwest town of Sequim, Washington—nestled in the rainshadow
of the Olympic Mountains—Batson Enterprises has grown from humble beginnings into the premier wholesale supplier
of fishing rod blanks and components in the United States.

Our journey began long before our founding in 2000. It started in Maui, where my father opened Phantom Custom Rods
and built some of Hawaii’s finest fishing rods. He was featured on the television show Fishing Tales and in the book
Fishing Hawaii Style. In 1990, he left Hawaii to work for a prominent company in California, and eight years later, he
brought a handful of families with him to Sequim to pursue a shared vision.

With just two employees—my cousin Karry Batson and myself—Batson Enterprises launched as a true family venture.
Armed with my father’s industry knowledge and global relationships, we took a leap of faith and poured everything into
building a business dedicated to quality, service, and community. Tragically, in 2003, my father passed away. But his
passion lives on through the family and team he inspired.

Over the years, we grew steadily—the company moving from my parent’s home into a 3,000 square foot building, and
then in 2005 into our current 12,000 square foot facility. Today, we offer over 500 rod blank choices and 5,000+ ALPS/
2026 New Products
Forecast rod building components, along with a team of 25 dedicated professionals who share our commitment to old-
fashioned customer service and cutting-edge innovation.

As we reflect on 25 years of business, we’re proud not only of our products but of the relationships we’ve built. Our family
has grown to include our customers, dealers, and team members—many of whom have been with us since the early days.
My mother Connie Batson retired as president in 2022, and I now serve as Owner and CEO. Karry continues to lead sales,
my son Keller brings his technical expertise to support our builders, and my daughter Eden manages our social media
channels. This is more than a business—it’s a legacy.

At Batson Enterprises, we remain deeply committed to supporting rod builders across the country and around the world.
As we look toward the future, we honor the past—with gratitude, pride, and an enduring promise to serve this industry
for generations to come.
