The Mighty Corvette.
Chevrolet’s Corvette, introduced in 1953, became the symbol of the American sports car, a
muscle car, as they are known. The first Corvette had a production of only 300 vehicles. These
cars had a six-cylinder engine that produced 150 HP. The car was only available in white with a
red interior. (See far left)

The Corvette for 2021 boasts a 495 horsepower engine that is now mid-engine. It can hit the
0-60 mark in 2.8 seconds. Prices range from 1LT coupe: $59,995 to the 3LT convertible:
$78,495 . The 2021 Corvettes sold out even before production had begun as there is a limited
production.
