7/10/20. I hope St Nicola does not impose blanket restrictions that prevent people returning to some form of
normality in their personal and business lives. I think the vast majority of people understand why restrictions
are required when we see rates of infection that are higher than in March but thankfully the hospital
admissions and death rate are very, very low compared to March/April.
Some people complained "Oh I can go the pub but I can't see my granny in her house". The fact is that your
granny was probably safer in the pub conforming to the guidelines than she was in her house being cuddled
and kissed by you after returning from the supermarket on the bus. However, I doubt anyone can see how
10pm curfews and no background music in a bar/restaurant saves lives.
It is obvious that allowing students to return to campus and halls of residence was a huge mistake. I
completely understand the younger group can spread the virus to older or more vulnerable groups and the
spread needs to be controlled but how many deaths have there been in fit, healthy 18 - 24 yr olds?

Surely this type of data can be analysed to bring in specific guidelines rather than apply guidelines to the
whole population that is only going to protect 1%?

I am not advocating Herd Immunity as that requires a vaccine but we need to stop issuing guidelines that
seem random, ill thought through to the majority or they will not be adhered to.

The public also need to see Cummings, Ferrier and especially Johnson Snr prosecuted.
Anyway what the worst that can happen? You get coronavirus and nearly die? Don't worry you will be fit and
healthy again in 4 days....just ask Johnson. Stay Safe and Sensible and don't follow your leader....unless it's St
