VEHICLES
Ensure that no vehicles are in the driveway or on the street in front of the home. Close garage doors.
FRONT & BACK YARDS
Put hoses and other equipment away, organize patio/deck, pick up pet waste, put away garbage bins, and generally clean up yard. Mow lawn and tidy up landscaping.
WINDOWS
Open curtains/blinds all the way in every room. Windows should be clean and freshly washed to let in all the natural light.
STAGING
If available, place unobtrusive decorative items on counters and tables. Examples: fresh flowers, bowls of fresh fruit, pottery, vases, and new candles. Utilize neutral linens and towels.
OTHER
Turn ceiling fans off, put all personal items away, remove any religious symbols from view, and generally make the house as clean as possible (remove streaks from mirrors, sweep and mop floors, remove any bugs or spider webs, leave all surfaces sparkling clean etc.).
