Double Lark's Head

With a short rope, twist two loops
together near the center, to form a
Lark's Head, but instead of putting it
over a post. slip it onto your left hand
and hold it mere.
Take the ends of the rope in the
right hand, push them over the bar
and bring them down through the
double loop that girds the left hand
(fig. 1). Draw the left hand from the
ropes and pull the ends tight.
The result is one Lark's Head pass--
ing through anomer at right angles,
forming a strong hitch termed a
"Double Lark's Head (fig. 2).
