Horizon
Summer Midnights
Upon the quiet summer midnights Lies a life in which I live.
I see the moon, glistening high. Hear the piercing owl cry.
Slowly creeping, ever so lightly
Fast paced breathing, walking quietly. Fresh air soon, open door
Open up, something more
Finally out, out at last
Feel the soft, velvet grass
Smell the air, life awaits
Night brings life, simple fate
No more plastic, no more paper
From life I ran, from the labor
Feel the whoosh of wind in my face Mother Nature’s humble embrace Like a runaway prisoner
I fled my day-life, twas a blur
Leaping, landing, launching, learning Seeking more, always yearning Though no matter
How much I yearn
The night still ends
To the daybreak burn
I return back home
Quietly as before
Return to my day-life
Again once more
