 Spring Break Trip to NYC
Members of Padua’s theater program traveled to New York City in the spring of 2019. They packed in as many sites and experiences possible into every hour of their three-day whirlwind tour. Highlights of the trip included: tickets to Broadway hits Wicked and King Kong, a Central Park movie sites tour, the Hudson River Lady Liberty cruise, and visits to the Empire State building, Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Chinatown and Little Italy. Students also went behind the scenes of the New Amsterdam Theater
and NBC Studios. They got to handle props and costumes from some of Disney on Broadway’s most beloved hits and partake in their own NBC broadcast training camp. Finally, our Bruins had the opportunity to participate in a private dance workshop with a cast member from Wicked. Students learned one of the show’s most popular dance sequences and received advice about the theater world from one of its stars.
