Summer Construction Northeast Entrance Expansion
During the summer of 2019, the Northeast Entrance was transformed from a set of double doors to an inviting vestibule, thanks to the generosity of John Warcaba ’81, Rick Miller ’81 and the Class of 1965. The entrance has been named the Thomas Kohuth Atrium in honor of the long-time math teacher and football coach. Mr. Kohuth served the Padua community for 50 years and retired in 2018. He continues to serve our students as a substitute teacher.
“Padua was such an important part of our lives. The friends we met, the things we learned and the preparation for life we received have stayed with each of us our entire lives. The combination of academic and athletic experiences did so much to equip us for the challenges of work and family life that was to come. Coach Tom Kohuth played an instrumental role in both of these areas of our development while we were at Padua and to this day Coach serves as a great example of how to live a generous, caring and selfless life. We felt the new Northeast Entrance was a perfect way to recognize him as well as give back to a school that meant so much to both of us. Thank you Padua and thank you Coach Kohuth.” – John Warcaba ’81 and Rick Miller ’81
