Physics Labs Renovation Complete
Physics Labs on the southwest side of the building received a major facelift. Each lab now has a modern teacher presentation table with sink. Additional sinks and eye wash stations provide added safety for students and teachers. New, spacious cabinetry provides storage areas for teaching equipment and gives a sleek look to the labs.
“Placing priority on renovation of the science labs provides students a clean, effective, new place to learn. When students come in and they are energized by the space, they do better work. We’re going to make sure that our students continue to have the best tools and the best spaces to learn, because that’s what they’ll experience in the college level and beyond,” said Principal David Stec ’86.
Computer Lab Improvements
Padua transformed two computer science labs. We removed traditional, large computer desks and added movable stations, which allow the room to be reconfigured quickly for collaborative work and innovative projects. Maker-space tables provide a better working surface for our students to develop and design their Robotics Club projects. Additionally, new laptops enhance courses in our MyTrack Computer Science Program.
Classroom Renovations
Five foreign language classrooms were renovated with new carpeting, window shades, dropped ceilings and LED lighting, along with a fresh coat of paint. The majority of our first and second floor classrooms on the west end of the building are now complete.
