Parish for over 20 years, chairing the Finance Council, the Music Ministry and serving as Cantor and Eucharistic Minister.
Ultimately, a single quote sums up what Donna Ross’s commitment to Padua Franciscan means to her – “We are all given gifts by God. We are called to use them in service to others. Padua taught us that and I am grateful for the chance to serve this community and I cherish the friends I have made as part of the Padua family.”
Padua Partner Award
Eoin and Debbie Herlihy
Eoin and Debbie Herlihy are steadfast and tireless supporters of Padua Franciscan High School. Their involvement started when their children began to attend Padua and has continued long after the last one graduated.
They have been active leaders in the Music Association as well as the Parents’ Club. Eoin and Debbie helped organize many group events. They are invaluable volunteers and contributors to the Padua Theatre Program. Debbie has been in charge of costumes for Padua productions and Eoin has helped to build sets, hang lights and assist with the flight crews for many years. As members of The Friar Club, Eoin and Debbie have provided substantial financial support to Padua as well.
On top of all of their contributions, they have also been outstanding models of Franciscanism, serving with humility and grace. They have never sought the limelight, but instead have been content to work behind the scenes (literally!) for the betterment of Padua. Their witness has no doubt been an inspiration to countless Padua students, teachers, and staff over the years.
Tom and Debbie Mason
Tom and Debbie were the driving force in getting the lights installed on the athletic field. Debbie was relentless in fundraising, obtaining permits and pushing approvals through the city of Parma. Prior to the Mason’s persistence, all athletic contests
were played in the afternoon, which hindered Padua’s flexibility in scheduling and curtailed fan attendance. In 2008, they were instrumental in getting the construction completed in the new wrestling room, again providing the impetus to get the job done.
